Brighton Tattoo Convention returns for the 9th annual show, with a fresh venue, stellar line up and a packed schedule of events.
This year the convention has moved later in the year, now taking place on the Bank Holiday weekend of the 30th of April – 1st of May. This is the first time we’ve scheduled the convention in April; now we’re a little later on in the season we look forward to welcoming artists and visitors to a warmer and more pleasant Brighton sea front!
As well as a change to our date line, this year we’re also moving premises. After 3 hugely successful years at the Hilton Metropole, we’re upping sticks and taking residency just a few meters down the road at The Brighton Centre. One of the largest purpose built exhibition spaces in the South, the Brighton Centre is just a few metres away from our previous location along the famous sea front and promenade, and offers an uninterrupted open exhibition space that we can’t wait to fill with artists and visitors.
We’re stoked about our stellar line up of artists this year, coming from all over the globe to share their art. Highlights include Hannah Pixie Sykes (UK), Stu Pagdin (AUS), Scott Move (UK), Big Meas (US), Hanaro Shinko (DE), Kelly Violet (UK), Jondix (UK) just to name a few.
We’ve got a huge array of events planned to keep you busy during your time at the convention. Alongside the all-star list of international and home-grown tattoo talent, we’ve put together a schedule of exhibitions, parties, pop-ups and premieres. Highlights include The Body Scroll Exhibition – a collection of truly breath-taking life size artworks by a hand-picked group of artist, curated by Jondix, Deno and the team at Seven Doors tattoo. Fast becoming a firm favourite is the Barber Expo Pop Up – Paul Hewitt is back with us and bringing his internationally acclaimed band of barbers with him; Another brand new highlight for all you petrol heads is the custom car show, The Lead Room, in collaboration with JackHammer Speed Shop. Revel in traditional style custom cars that range from 40’s to 60’s styles – dream cars! And of course, there are the after parties – the Saturday night after show party, this year at Mesmerist; or head to the beach for some Rum and reggae at the Riki Tik beach bar! All this, plus so much more, makes up our schedule for an unforgettable weekend.
Don’t miss out – the convention is fast approaching, so grab your tickets now. Both weekend and day tickets are available here priced at £40 and £25 respectively.
