An exhibition of ‘Geometric Transition’ By Fade FX from Skin FX; Body Illustration Galley in Brighton and Hove – www.skinfx.tattoo
Fade is an internationally recognised artist specializing in geometric and dotwork tattooing.
Her exhibition will feature portraits of the tattoo artists starring in her film ‘Point of No Return’ where she interviewed artists, historians and tribes people in Borneo documenting the tribal tattoo culture, history and unique tattooing methods along with myths and fables from the head hunter tribes.
The portraits are constructed of patterns which each artist are renowned for tattooing.
Transforming shapes, seamlessly from one pattern to become another; her additional artwork focuses on geometric transitions. These creations are inspired by MC Escher and are typical of Fades multi dimensional geometric pattern design.
This exhibition will travel from Brighton Tattoo Convention to Skin FX Body Illustration Gallery to open her new tattoo studio on Monday 15th May 7-9pm.
Resident and guest artists at Skin FX will be exhibiting artwork along with a collaboration between Fade and designer Matt Superstrange where they will be live animating this artwork and welcome you to preview this collection and toast the new premises.
